Notes:

• Sessions - data are collected for all sessions played in one of the official sites of our group. For sessions outside those sites a minimum of 3 players and all already in the database are required.  Score, Votes and game length should be communicated to me ASAP by email specifing the order of play in case of more games in a single session.

CALCULATIONS

Games

• Votes - The Games Ranking shows a list ordered by the votes from players of LudoRoma group, For each game two dummy votes (5) are added to balance the small initial sample. A Weighed Vote is also shown in bracket: this vote is an average of the vote from the group, BGG vote and the Top100 vote. BBG and Top100 votes are recorded in the database at the moment of a session registration and the software automatically normalize them to the LudoRoma group average vote. However the most recent vote for a game will count for all the calculations.
   

• Length - The average length is shown in the Games Ranking. A small 'r' indicates that the average is based on real data from LudoRoma sessions, otherwise the BGG value is shown.  
   

• Average Points - After the year of publishing 3 values are available. They are the average points from LudoRoma sessions with 3 or less, 4, 5 or more players. These value are important for the players ranking calculations, see below.
   

• Votes by Era - Just for curiosity below the players ranking there is a small table with the average vote the LudoRoma group assigned to games of different eras.
   

Players

• Basic ranking - There is a general rule that regulates the players points calculation. In each play a player is measured  against:

1. his/her points in the game vs the points he/she should have had proportionally to the current rating (points) of the players partecipating the game. 
2. his/her points in the game vs the average points for that game with that number of players

• The player so get positive points he/she performed better than expected in 1), otherwise negative points are added to his/her total rating. 
   

• A positive performance in 2) causes a even better or worst number of points added/subtracted from the players rating. A total of 4 cases so apply.

• Overall Ranking - The same rules apply but the points added/subtracted are also function of the Weighed Vote of the game and its Average Lenght. Higher the values the better the reward for the player. This ranking highlight the results of harder and generally more appreciated games.  
   
• Average Positioning - Quite easy. Beside points, votes and "depth" of the games this ranking shows the Winner attitude of the players. The points are just the average position for each player.
